Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the InstaLens browser extension, website at https://instalens.io, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are using an Instagram account you are authorized to access.

2. Account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed through our third-party payment provider on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) until canceled.
  • Prices may change; any changes will apply to future billing periods after reasonable notice.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then.
  • Payments are non-refundable. Amounts already charged for the current or past billing periods will not be refunded, except where required by applicable law.

4. Relationship to Instagram

InstaLens is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. The extension interacts with Instagram through your own authenticated browser session. You remain responsible for complying with Instagram’s Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and any applicable rate limits. We are not responsible for any action Instagram takes against your account, including restrictions, shadow bans, or bans, resulting from your use of the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm any individual or to collect data on users without their consent in violation of applicable law.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except where permitted by law.
  • Attempt to interfere with, disable, or circumvent any security or access-control feature.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission.
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content (excluding user-provided data), is owned by InstaLens or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

7. User Data

You retain ownership of the data you upload or generate through the Service. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reports will be complete or accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InstaLens and its creator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the creator of InstaLens resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
